Ask Recreation or the museum where a bus can unload and turn around, and write down where the driver waits, because the residential streets around the park are narrow.

Ask in your first message, before you have a quote. Accessible vehicles are a small slice of any local fleet and they need more lead time. Tell them how many passengers use a wheelchair or mobility device, the type and weight, whether anyone can transfer to a seat, and whether you need a lift or a ramp. Ask in writing how the device is secured, what the usable door and interior height are, and how much notice they need. Then check the accessible entrance and loading spot with each venue — Coolidge Corner Theatre and Harvard Street and Larz Anderson Park and the Larz Anderson Auto Museum set their own access rules, and the right bus is no help at a door it can't reach.

Three separate things have to line up: Massachusetts law, the rules where the trip runs, and the operator's own written policy. All three have to allow it. Never assume a vehicle class permits it. Ask for the alcohol and glass policy in writing before you book, along with the cleaning fee and what happens if someone breaks it mid-trip.
