What the Route Planner is for
A provider can only quote your trip properly if they know where you're going and in what order. This planner lets you write out the pickup, the stops and the final drop, set how long you'll spend at each stop, and see a rough total to ask for. It turns a vague idea into an itinerary you can send.
The time estimate is deliberately simple. It doesn't map your addresses or check traffic; it uses a fixed allowance for every drive. The real value is the ordered list itself, which you hand to the provider so they can check the route and confirm it.
How to use it
- Enter the starting location. Type the pickup address or a clear description, like a hotel name and street. The text is for your itinerary; it doesn't change the time calculation.
- Enter the final destination. Type where the trip ends. If you're coming back to the pickup, enter the same address. Like the start, this is for your records and the provider.
- Add your stops in order. Enter each stop in the order you'll visit it, using Add Stop for more and Remove to delete one. Only filled-in stops count toward the estimate.
- Set minutes at each stop. Choose an average stay between 10 and 120 minutes. The same length applies to every stop, so use an average if some visits run longer.
- Read the total and send the list. Check the Total Trip figure, add your own cushion for loading and delays, then send the ordered stop list with your quote request.

Drive times are estimates based on ~20 min per segment. Actual times vary by location and traffic. For precise routing, share your itinerary with your driver.
Reading the results
Total Stops counts the stop fields you filled in. Est. Drive Time allows 20 minutes per leg, and there's always one more leg than stops, from pickup to first stop through last stop to destination. Time at Stops is your stop count times minutes per stop. Total Trip adds drive and stop time and shows hours to one decimal.
The 20-minute leg is a planning assumption, not a real drive time, and it stays the same whether stops are two blocks or twenty miles apart. Swap it for actual drive times off a map for the hour you'll travel, and let the provider's written itinerary be the final word.
Unlike the Bar Hop Time Calculator, this planner adds no cushion at all, so add your own before you ask for hours.
Worked example: Dinner, a rooftop bar, and a club
A birthday group enters a pickup address, three stops (a restaurant, a rooftop bar and a club) and a final drop back at the pickup address. They set 45 minutes per stop.
The planner shows 3 stops, 80 minutes of drive time across four legs, 135 minutes at stops and a Total Trip of 3.6 hours.
Two adjustments make that realistic. Dinner will take 90 minutes rather than 45, so the average stay is really 60 minutes; setting that lifts time at stops to 180 minutes and the total to 4.3 hours. And a map shows the club is 35 minutes from the rooftop bar. Add that extra 15 minutes and a half-hour cushion and the request comes to about five hours, which the group sends along with the stop list.
Mistakes to avoid
Taking the 20-minute legs literally
Real drives vary a lot, and a cross-town leg on a Saturday night can run far past 20 minutes. Check each leg on a map at your travel time and adjust.
Listing stops out of order
The provider plans around the route you send. If the stops zigzag across town, you pay for the extra driving. Reorder them geographically before you submit.
Requesting the exact total
The planner adds no buffer for loading, late guests or parking. Add at least half an hour to the Total Trip figure before you ask for a rental length.
Vague addresses
A bar name with no street can send a driver to the wrong side of town. Give full addresses, and note where the group will board at each stop.

Route Planner questions, answered
Why does the route planner show drive time before I add any stops?
There's always at least one leg, from the starting location to the final destination. With no stops filled in, that single leg counts as 20 minutes. Every stop you add creates another leg, so three stops means four legs and 80 minutes of estimated driving.
Does the route planner use my addresses to calculate distance?
No. The address fields build your itinerary; they aren't mapped. The estimate uses a flat 20 minutes per leg. For real drive times, look up each leg on a map for the day and hour you'll travel, then add the extra to your request.
Can I set a different amount of time for each stop?
Not directly. One minutes-per-stop figure applies to every stop. If your stays differ, add them up, divide by the number of stops and enter the average. The total comes out the same as entering each stop's time separately.
Do empty stop fields count toward the total?
No. Only stop fields with text in them are counted. You can leave a blank field without affecting the estimate, or use Remove to tidy the list before you copy it into your quote request. Do check that every stop you meant to include is actually filled in.
How is this different from the Bar Hop Time Calculator?
The Route Planner lets you list named stops and uses a fixed 20 minutes per leg with no cushion. The Bar Hop Time Calculator doesn't take addresses, but it lets you set your own travel time, adds 30 minutes for pickup and drop-off, and rounds up to a recommended booking. Plenty of planners use both.
What should I send the provider from this planner?
The pickup address, every stop in order with full addresses, the final destination, your planned time at each stop and your start time. Mention where the vehicle can load at busy venues if you know. They can then check the route and confirm the itinerary and hours back to you.
How much buffer should I add to the total trip?
The planner adds none, so it's on you. Groups always take longer to board than planned, and busy venues often mean walking to a loading spot. At least 30 minutes, and more for large groups or lots of stops, gives you room without running into overtime.
