Timing and seasonality

Celebration Park’s lighted fields carry youth and adult tournaments from spring through fall, and Dash Point State Park is busiest in summer, when interpretive programs run June through August and the campground and shelters fill on weekends. The PAEC season concentrates touring shows from fall through spring, with summer community events such as movie nights and festivals. Winter brings heavy rain, wind, occasional lowland snow and ice on the hills toward the shoreline, and I-5 incidents; late summer can carry wildfire smoke.
