Thirty seats is the crossover point between body types. Long shuttle bodies get there with a rear luggage area and a low step. Small motorcoaches get there with an elevated deck, under-floor bays, reclining seats, and often a restroom. On a short loop the difference barely registers. Thirty adults fit in forward rows either way. On a shuttle body, the seat pitch is tighter and there is no restroom, so plan stops on anything over about ninety minutes.
